Old San Juan, PR

The fuerza de Puerto Rico is alive and strong after Hurricane Maria hit last September. We didn't explore inland much as a lot of roads were still closed but the beach towns are thriving. There's still storm damage to be cleaned up and hotels aren't open yet (waiting for insurance companies to pay them) but this allows for locals to profit from renting Airbnb's. Old San Juan didn't disappoint. It was reminiscent of New Orleans with its warm weather, colorful buildings and proud citizens. Safe to say we'll be returning to explore a whole lot more of the islands and contribute how we can to help #restartpuertorico
